Are you thinking about looking for a home on Clear Lake? There are several main points to consider as you begin your search for the lakefront home that is right for you.
1. Of course
price is a real important one. If you don't have your price range established, you may want to meet with your lender or financial planner to reach this first important step. Once you know the price range that is best for your overall plan, it will help you stay focused as you look at lakefront homes. You can take a look at lakefront or waterfront homes by price range and area at;

2. Another important thing is
location; learn as much about Clear Lake and the surrounding towns and communities as possible. If you are interested in sunsets over Clear Lake you would be looking on the east side of the lake. For sunrises, you would want to be on the west side of the lake. Whether you enjoy sailing, water skiing, fishing or other water related activities, there may be area's of the lake that offer better conditions for you than other area's.
3. You may have in mind that you need certain
waterfront features such as; a boat dock, pier, boat lift, launch ramp or boat storage. If you find a lakefront home you like that doesn't have any of the waterfront features on your list, you can consider adding them in later. You would want to be assured that the features could be added and would also want to get 2 or 3 bids for the project so you know how to budget for it.
